On one hand, you’ll find the page above, a book in progress on my experiences as a chef. It’s quite a story, although I’d have to warn you, its nothing like Anthony Bourdain’s book. You won’t find many culinary quanderies or drug-induced debautchery and the sort…I went through all that long before I began my cooking career. What you will find, are the psychological frustrations of a chef at odds with employers, relocations, sub-par kitchens and such…and maybe a few laughs. Also you may see a side of me that not many people know. I’m not always nice, happy, and positive. Sometimes I’m down-right mean and snotty! I bear my weakness as a man in these writings so please be kind in your judgements.

Which brings me to the other hand – or page, rather, a studied essay on Orthodox Christianity. This “thesis” is directed to my family and loved ones mostly, of whom I have always been the black-sheep. For me, I have found True-Life in Orthodoxy. I have a new perspective with which to embrace, that I might become the man I had always known was inside me, but only through God’s grace, comes out sometimes. For you, whom ever you are, you are a loved one as well, even if I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting you. If you have never heard of Orthodox Christianity, or only know of the Greeks and Russians vaguely, you may find it interesting to learn about the roots of Christianity. It is an Eastern Religion, one filled with mystery and deeply pious people whom through God has worked many miracles. Yes, we Christians are all called to be saints, but we have within our family true examples of men and women who found in there days on Earth, the peace that surpasses all understanding.  Through their continuous work to give up thier own desires for the Lord’s will, He purified them and blessed the faithful with his grace. May all His saints pray to God for our salvation and guide my hands to share His Truth and Love through these writings.
